Ladybirds (F1)

Welcome to the Ladybird's class page. In the F1 setting there are a few members of staff, in the morning there are three groups: yellow group (Mrs Tucker), blue group (Mrs Emmonds) and green group (Miss Machant). Mrs Witts will also be joining us on  Wednesday and a Thursday to cover Mrs Tucker's non contact time and Mrs Westbury will be popping in sometimes  to cover Mrs Emmonds.

Thank you to all parents who have been bringing in water bottles and remembering to take them home on Fridays for a good wash! We do have spare clothes in the nursery but if your child has a tendency for having toilet accidents then it is a good idea to bring some spare clothes in a bag and put them on his/her peg.

We have been very busy welcoming our new friends into nursery over the last few days, they are settling very well with hardly any tears! Here are a few ideas of activities to support your child's learning this half term:

Come and look at our lovely new display in nursery  with writing about the story 'Peace at Last'. We used our writing tools really carefully to draw our favourite part of the story and then we Ask your child to tell you about this story. Our lovely apple printings and pastels of fruit are also on display.

This half term our topic is 'People who help us'. Here is a bit of information about what we will be doing in nursery in the next few weeks and some ideas about what you can do at home to support your child's learning. If you would like any other suggestions then come and ask a member of nursery staff.

It is already nearly the end of the school year but there is still lots of work to do this term. Our theme for this half term is 'At the bottom of the garden' and we are hoping for some lovely weather so that we can be outside looking for mini beasts and doing some gardening. There are a lot of children moving into the Butterfly team in September or going to new schools so we will be supporting the children with this big step. Look on the curriculum flyer below to see the three days in July where the children will be visiting their new classrooms and the learning that is happening in the nursery this half term.
