Salary/Hourly Rate:       NJE Grade 5 (Point range 15-22)

 

Actual Pay:                     £24,919 - £28,110 per annum  

 

We are seeking to appoint an Office Manager to lead the admin and midday supervisor teams in this full-time post, at our warm and welcoming school.  This post presents an ideal opportunity for the right person to build on their existing skills with management responsibility and would suit someone with relevant experience, who is looking for a change and/or to progress in their career.  The role will be varied and busy, so the successful candidate will need to show an ability to work under pressure whilst always maintaining their professionalism, positivity and smile.

 

Essential to the role will be:

  • Providing administrative support to the headteacher, including in respect of pupil & personnel matters, finance, governance and external agencies
  • Leading the day-to-day management of the school office, admin and midday supervisor teams
  • Day-to-day management of the school’s financial and accounting processes
  • Operating and ensuring the smooth running of the school’s administrative systems
  • Working alongside the Site Manager and headteacher to lead on health and safety management across school

 

In particular, the successful candidate will need:

  • Skills in communication, organisation, diplomacy, sensitivity
  • To adopt a flexible and adaptive approach to the role, have a positive outlook and be prepared to ‘get stuck in’ to school life as ‘one of the team’
  • To work pro-actively, with accuracy and efficiency
  • To work in line with school policy, with a secure understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety

Working hours will be 8.15am – 4.45pm daily during term-time, with an additional 10 days to be worked flexibly during school holidays throughout the year, as required by the role.
